Tower Defense - A subgenre of strategy games whose purpose is to protect a player's territories or possessions by obstructing an attacking opponent or preventing enemies from reaching exits, which is usually achieved by placing defensive structures in or along their attack path. This usually means building many different structures that serve to automatically block, obstruct, attack, or destroy enemies.
